Arthritis is the leading cause of disability in the United States, affecting over 50 million Americans. The two most common types of arthritis are Rheumatoid arthritis and Osteoarthritis.

Over a five-week period, investigators reported an improvement in pain when moving and resting. Patients also slept better and experienced less inflammation and less intense pain.

The study also found that those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis can slow the progress of the disease using CBD. While findings so far have been encouraging, more research is needed to say with certainty that CBD oil is an effective treatment for arthritis pain.
